Charming uniform bindings in pebbled green morocco with gilt frames and knot motif at corners of front and back board, spine with raised bands and gilt edges and titles in compartments. Turn-ins with gilt fillets, a.e.g. Spines sunned as typical with green morocco and some foxing to front and end pages but overall clean and evenly toned, and bindings square a tight with only light scuffing at corners. Ink inscription inside front cover of Vol. 1, dated 1919.
A collection of Robert Browning's poetical works in handsome green morocco bindings. A foremost Victorian poet known for his dramatic monologues, use of irony, dark humour, and social commentary, he was the husband of Elizabeth Barrett Browning, fellow noted poet.
