Entrance of the Palace of Industry, plate 28 from the series Paris Dans sa Splendeur
Paris: Henri Charpentier, 1861. Oil stick color lithograph on cream wove paper, 9 3/8 x 14 1/8 inches (237 x 357 mm), lower margin trimmed to exclude the title which otherwise appears in the lower center sheet. There is a 2-inch repaired tear on the verso in the top center sheet which is visible in the area of the text above the image, and a small repaired tear in the left sheet quadrant which is not visible on the recto. Scattered foxing and light discoloration throughout.
