The Dragon Murder Case is the seventh novel featuring Van Dine's Philo Vance character. It was also adapted to a film version in 1934, starring Warren William as Vance. This is the only Philo Vance mystery with a pictorial dust jacket.
S. S. Van Dine is the pseudonym of Willard Huntington Wright (1888 – 1939) an American art critic and author.
