Chiaroscuro woodcut from three blocks (olive, brown, tan), and aquatint on buff laid paper with a heart and crescent moon watermark, 12 15/16 x 8 1/16 inches (328 x 205 mm); sheet 14 x 9 1/8 inches (356 x 232 mm) one-inch margins. From a drawing by Baldassarre Tommaso Peruzzi. In very good condition with minor surface soiling and attenuation. Condition is consistent with age. A fine example of this work, which is plate No. 85 from the series Le Cabinet di Monsieur Crozat. Etching by Anne Claude Philippe de Tubières, Comte de Caylus.

An impression of this fine work may be viewed in the permanent collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, object No. 60.708(3).
