The object appearing on the page is an ornate polished iron screen with gilt flourishes. The artist's notes indicate that it is from the Louvre's Davillier collection. The screen originates from of a siginficant bequest to the Louvre that was made by Baron Jean-Charles Davillier, whose collection is the cornerstone of the museum's French Decorative Art collection, housed in the Richelieu wing.
