Blue morocco binding with paper labels on spines. Very light spotting on the prelims and hinge of Vol. 3 a little loose, ink spot on the front corner pages of Vol. 3, but pages are all clean and bindings square.
Previous owner's inscription inside front cover of Vol. 1 with extensive penned quote from Lord Bacon; and pasted inside back cover of Vol. 1 the poem "Farewell to Love" by Coleridge penned on onionskin paper; ownership inscriptions in Vols. 2 & 3.
A charming and simply bound set of verse from one of the English Lake Poets, published in the year of his death, 1834. This collection of poetry includes some of Coleridge's most famous poems such as, 'The Rime of the Ancient Mariner,' 'Christabel,' 'Kubla Khan,' and the preface by Coleridge to the First and Second Editions. With delightful additions in pen to inside covers by a previous owner, George D. Kent, including the Coleridge poem "Farewell to Love."
