Paris: Delpech, 1839. Lithograph with engraving on cream wove paper, 11 7/8 x 8 inches (299 x 203 mm), unevenly trimmed but full margins, the full sheet. In good condition with two paper tabs of mounting tape (archival) at the top and bottom corners on the verso. Scattered light surface soiling apparent on the verso, as well as very light spots of foxing when the sheet is viewed through raking light. This image was published in color in Boys's well known portfolio "Picturesque Architecture in Paris, Ghent, Antwerp, Rouen," which includes similar city scenes dating back to 1839. .
