An elegant, large paper edition on lush Japon paper of Prosper Mérimée's short novel, Colomba, which first appeared on 1 July 1840 in the Revue des Deux Mondes. Through the lens of historical fiction, the novella examines the Corsican vendetta. The story has been adapted on a number of occasions for the screen including the 1950 film "Vendetta" directed by Mel Ferrer.
