Ink and wash on cream wove paper, 6 3/4 x 5 5/8 inches (170 x 141 mm). Uniform toning, as well as some mat tone and attenuation of color.

Built 500 years before the palace of Versailles, the 1500 room Château de Fontainbleau was continuously inhabited for eight centuries, dating back to the 12th century.
