This is one of the "Ariel Poems” series, published first published under the Faber & Gwyer imprint, and under Faber & Faber after 1929. Each booklet included one poem by T. S. Eliot accompanied by a color illustration done by one of several artists who contributed to the series. One of 2000 copies published on 25 September 1930
From the estate of Robert Cecil Bald (1901 – 1965), an Australian scholar of English Literature, who moved to the US to teach at Cornell University in 1937 and was then a professor at the University of Chicago from 1952 to 1965.
