London: William Monk & Elkin Mathews, 1903. Etching and aquatint on Japan paper, 8 x 11 inches (202 x 278 mm), wide margins, sheet trimmed to exclude the calendar. Signed in pencil, lower margin. This image was utilized for the first issue of "Monk's Calendar," which was a publication for print collectors issued annually featuring an original etching, that year illustrated with an image of St. James's Palace. Founded by William Monk (1863-1937), the calendar was published yearly until the year 2004.
